It is little wonder that Toy Story 3 is one of the most anticipated movies of the year, considering the immense success that the first two movies experienced. The characters from Toy Story have become some of the most beloved characters out there, and people have prepared to celebrate the movie’s airing. For those of you planning on throwing a Toy Story 3 theme party, here are some ideas to help you in your planning.

Pre Party Ideas: There are a number of things you can do to prepare your party to be a big hit before the party begins. First of all, try inviting your guests in style with Toy Story 3 invitations. It’ll help set the tone for the theme party. You can also give them costume assignments if you want a costume party. The great thing about costume parties is that it helps people get out of their comfort zone and become more involved in the celebrations. Also, if you don’t want to supply all the food for the party by yourself, you can assign some of your friends some food to bring to take some of the burden off of you.

Party Ideas: Alright, so your guests have arrived and are awaiting for the activities that you’ve prepared. Hopefully you have a great agenda planned to help make your party the huge success you’re hoping for. If you’ve having a hard time come up with these activities, here are some ideas. First off, you can have a character impersonation contest. Since everyone should be dressed up in costume according to their character, simply see who can sound like their character the most. At the end of everyone’s impersonation, have each person secretly vote for two characters they thought did the best job. The winner gets a prize, quite possibly free movie tickets to watch Toy Story 3.

Costume suggestions for a ‘Pop/Rock Star’ theme

April 20th, 2010

Last week found our staff scurrying to create costumes for a ‘Pop/Rock Star’ theme; the possibilities were endless as we suggested various artists from many of the past decades.

All it took were a few leather pieces to create rock idols like Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Suzi Quatro, Blondie, Jim Morrison (Doors) and David Bowie just to name a few.

A bit of imagination and a make over with wigs and make up, had the makings of rockers like the group ‘Kiss’, Alice Cooper & the very eccentric 80s icon Boy George.

Some of our creations simply came together by supplying an original bouffant looking wig, heavy eye liner to create cat like eyes for modern day artist Amy Winehouse.

This is necessary to ensure the Hen’s friends will want to attend. Ask for opinions on what people are willing to spend and also keep in mind the bride to be should not have to pay for anything on the night.      Read the rest of this entry »
